We have 22 locations and zero issues with Look software. It’s so easy to use and has a lot of useful tools that we utilize in our day-to-day business. All-in-all, our experience was top-notch.
We tried many different solutions for our platform. After many trials and errors, we found Look Digital Signage to be an amazing tool for our purposes.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Look and it's been a really big game changer for us, because it has helped us to come across as an older business in a much more fresh way.
Our experience with Look has been nothing but amazing. Customer service is excellent, and the product works perfectly. It's remarkable and I wouldn't go with any other company.
In terms of using the system, the other options that I found were a little clunky and Look was not only affordable but really easy for us to deploy and get up and running.
With Look we can upload content and publish it within seconds and also customize screens for each of the branches. It is incredibly user-friendly and so easy-to-use, thus it's amazing to work with.
Screens in the places where customers already stop moving: the forecourt, the pump islands, the shop floor, the line at the checkout. What makes it digital signage rather than a set of televisions is the central control. Look Digital Signage publishes to all of them from one CMS, remotely. Promotions, fuel information, menus, safety notices, weather, advertising. Nobody walks the site updating displays one at a time.
Where can digital signage be used at a gas station?
Almost anywhere a customer stops or waits. The forecourt, the pump islands, the shop floor, the checkout, menu boards above the counter, car-wash lanes, rest areas. In Look, those screens can be split into separate groups, so each zone gets its own content and the whole network is still run from a single CMS.
What can gas stations show on digital screens?
Fuel prices and store promotions, first of all. After that it depends on the site: food and drink menus, loyalty offers, car-wash packages, safety messages, weather, traffic updates, paid advertising from third parties. Look takes images, video, web pages, apps and widgets. Split-screen layouts mean one display can carry two or three of those at the same time.
What are pump-side digital screens used for?
They catch a customer who is standing still with nothing to do. The job of a pump-side screen is to prompt the next action: walk into the shop, sign up for the loyalty scheme, add a car wash. Industry research reviewed for this page keeps returning to the same point: the three to five minutes spent refueling is prime time for coffee, snacks, drinks and meal deals.
Can digital signage help bring fuel customers into the convenience store?
That is usually the main reason operators install it. The refueling window is free advertising time for whatever is on sale inside. With Look, you can schedule pump-side promotions for coffee, snacks, drinks or meal deals, and swap them out several times a day. It puts a direct promotional link between the forecourt and the till.
What content works best on gas station digital signage?
Short, obvious, and tied to wherever the customer happens to be standing. At the pump, keep it to one offer: coffee, a snack bundle, a loyalty reward, a car wash. Three to five minutes is not long enough to read a brochure. Inside the store, there is more room to work with, and Look can run detailed menus, pricing, promotions and multi-zone layouts there.
Can fuel prices be updated on digital screens with Look?
Yes. Price content in Look is edited in the CMS and pushed out remotely, so no one drives between sites to update displays. For automation, Look exposes an API and a Zapier integration, which cover content changes triggered by a compatible external source or workflow. A direct live feed from one specific POS or fuel-price system is a different question: that depends on the system itself and on the integration actually being built.
Does Look integrate directly with gas station POS systems?
Not as a universal, out-of-the-box connector. Look makes no such claim for every gas station POS or fuel-management platform on the market. What it does provide is an API plus a Zapier integration, and Zapier itself reaches more than 1,000 external apps, so compatible workflows can be automated. Which route applies to your site comes down to one thing: whether your POS or pricing system exposes the data or triggers needed.
Can one platform manage pump, forecourt, and convenience-store screens?
Yes. Screen groups in Look are managed from the same cloud CMS, so one playlist can run on forecourt displays, a second around the pumps, and completely separate menu or promotional content inside the shop. Several customer zones, one platform. There is no need to license and learn a different system for each type of screen.
Can Look manage digital signage across multiple gas stations?
Multi-site management is what the platform is built for. Screens are organized centrally, and playlists or campaigns go out to whichever locations you select rather than being updated station by station. The method does not change between a handful of sites and 50-plus of them. Local content stays local wherever that matters.
Can individual stations show different content?
Yes, and one Look account is enough to do it. Playlists and schedules are assigned to the screens you choose, so a campaign does not have to go everywhere at once. National branding stays consistent; fuel information, store offers, menus, opening hours and local advertising can all be set per site.
Can gas stations show emergency and safety messages?
Yes, safety instructions, emergency information and other operational notices can be published to selected screens. Central management means that content is updated remotely instead of reprinting and replacing physical signs. One important limit: digital signage complements the permanent safety signage and warning systems that local regulations require at a fuel station. It does not replace them.
How can gas stations measure digital signage performance?
Start with playback. The analytics and proof-of-play data in Look tell you which content ran, where, and how often. Then put that next to your own numbers: sales, loyalty sign-ups, movement on the products you pushed, advertising you owe a partner. One honest caveat. Look gives you the playback record and nothing more; the link to revenue only appears once you join that record to your own commercial data.
Can gas station screens display several types of content at once?
Yes. Layouts in Look divide a display into separate content zones, so one screen can carry a promotion plus weather, branding, a menu or another widget. The layout tools are drag-and-drop and work with media, apps and widgets. Build one composition for the pumps, a different one for the shop floor, another for wherever else customers wait.
Can gas stations use templates instead of designing content from scratch?
Yes, and most operators do. The gas station solution ships with templates for fuel-retail content, and the CMS carries more for menus, promotions, dashboards and other formats. Swap the text, images and branding, and the design is done. No starting from an empty canvas every time.
Does every gas station screen need an external media player?
No, not for every installation. Commercial displays running LG webOS, Samsung Tizen or Android can run Look Player natively; everything else takes an HDMI media player. That leaves you with options rather than one mandatory screen-and-player combination repeated at every site.
Do gas stations need outdoor-rated screens?
Yes. Anything on the forecourt or by the pumps has to be specified for the conditions it will actually sit in. Look is the software layer. Weather resistance, sunlight readability, temperature range and 24/7 duty cycle are properties of the display and its enclosure, not of the CMS. A standard indoor television should not be assumed suitable for forecourt use.
What happens if a gas station loses its internet connection?
The screens keep playing. Content already downloaded sits on the player itself, so losing the line does not black out a display. Once the connection is back, the device catches up with the CMS and pulls whatever changed: new media, new schedules, new settings. On sites with thin or unreliable coverage, that behavior is often what decides the purchase.
What is proof-of-play for gas station digital signage?
It is the record of what actually played, screen by screen. Not what was scheduled to play. Those two are rarely identical, and the gap between them is exactly what the report exposes. In Look, playback statistics filter by date and by screen, and they export. You will want that the moment somebody else is paying: sold advertising, supplier campaigns, promotions funded from head office.
Can gas stations use digital menu boards?
Yes, menu boards inside the convenience store are a standard use case. Food and drink items, prices, promotions and meal deals are all published from the CMS and edited remotely when an offer changes. Ready-made templates and layout tools come with the platform, so a price change does not mean rebuilding the whole menu design.
Can digital signage promote car-wash services?
Yes, at the pump, inside the shop, or along the approach to the wash itself. Look can schedule messaging that compares packages, pushes an upgrade, or bundles a wash with another purchase. One caveat on hardware: a screen mounted in an exposed car-wash environment has to be rated for moisture, temperature swings and the specific conditions where it is installed.
Can gas station content change automatically by time of day?
Yes. Scheduling in Look runs the change for you. Breakfast and coffee in the morning, lunch offers from late morning, snacks and evening lines after that: the playlist moves on its own. On a 24-hour site, dayparting takes the job of swapping promotions off the staff rota entirely.
Can Look run on existing gas station screens?
Often, yes. An existing display can be reused if it runs a supported operating system, or if a compatible external player can be attached to it. The supported list covers Android, Windows, Linux, macOS, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Fire OS, Google TV and Raspberry Pi. Anything without a usable OS of its own can still be driven by a Look HDMI media player.
Can gas stations use QR codes on digital signage?
Yes. QR codes are built into content created in the CMS. Point one at loyalty enrollment, an app download, a promo page, a feedback form, whatever the campaign needs. Placement is what people get wrong. A code only works where the customer has a spare moment and can safely pull out a phone, which usually means the checkout, a waiting area or a queue.
Can Look automate gas station digital signage content?
Parts of the workflow, yes, through schedules, the API and Zapier. Anything predictable is a scheduling job: the breakfast-to-lunch changeover, for instance. Anything driven by an outside system goes through the API or a Zapier workflow. Look states that its Zapier integration reaches more than 1,000 external apps, though what you can actually automate depends on the connected service.
Is digital signage the same as an LED fuel price sign?
No. They do different jobs. A roadside LED price sign exists for one purpose: making the fuel price legible from a moving car. Digital signage covers full-color promotions, menus, safety content, advertising, video and dynamic data. Look can run compatible displays alongside a specialized price-sign installation; it is not a replacement for one.
Is digital signage suitable for both independent gas stations and large chains?
Both, and it is the same platform either way. Three screens at one site, or a network spread across dozens of them. A single station uses Look to keep menus and promotions under control from one place. A larger operator uses it to organize content across many locations and screen groups. There is a 14-day free trial, which is the sensible way to test the workflow before committing to a rollout.
Does gas station digital signage need a permanent internet connection?
No. Content already on the player will keep playing without a live connection. What connectivity is needed for is the sync: new media, schedules, settings and monitoring data moving between the device and the CMS. Lose the line temporarily and the existing playlist simply carries on until the player can reconnect and pick up the latest updates.
How can gas stations check whether their screens are working?
Remotely, from the CMS. Nobody needs to walk the site checking displays. Look reports online and offline status, last sync, playback status and other device details, and live screenshots confirm what is on a given screen right now. Alerts cover the things you would otherwise find out about too late: a screen offline, content that failed, storage running low.
Can gas stations sell advertising space on their screens?
Yes. Part of the screen inventory can be sold to local businesses, suppliers or other commercial partners. Look schedules that advertising alongside your own content and reports on playback, which is what an advertiser will ask for. The result is a network that does its operational job and earns something back from selected screens.
Can gas stations display weather information?
Yes. Current weather comes from Look's apps and dynamic content. It lands better at a fuel or roadside site than almost anywhere else, for the simple reason that drivers are already thinking about the road ahead. Pair a forecast with travel information, or with an offer that suits the forecast. Both sit inside the same signage network.
Can gas stations promote loyalty programs on digital screens?
Yes. Member prices, reward points, app downloads, enrollment campaigns: any of it, on any screen on the site. Content Creator in Look also supports QR codes. That is the shortest route from a screen to a customer's phone. Just keep those codes indoors or in a queue, where somebody can stop and scan without standing in traffic.
