Take control of every screen across the resort

Resort digital signage puts activity schedules, dining hours, spa and pool information, wayfinding and on-site promotions onto connected screens, indoors and out, and keeps the lot on one platform.
Head office runs the resort-wide campaigns. Each venue still looks after its own schedule and its own guest information. Reception updates transfer times. The spa pushes a treatment that has just freed up. The pool bar switches to its evening menu. Same branded system for all of it.

From the first lobby screen to the whole resort

Connect a player, build a playlist, and the screen is live. The pool bar, the spa and the activity desk join through exactly the same three steps.
  • Connect your screens

Install the Look App on a compatible display, or plug in the Look HDMI Player instead. The screen puts up a device code. Enter it, and the screen is paired.
  • Build and schedule your content

Sort activity boards, menus and guest information into playlists. Smart Scheduling then swaps them by hour, by weekday and by area of the resort.
  • Publish to the areas you choose

Publish from any browser: one screen, one venue, or every property in the group. Screen tags decide which area gets which playlist.

Digital signage for every area of the resort

One guest, one day, three different moods: the check-in desk, the poolside bar, the path junction. Look runs all three from one account, and each area keeps its own content, its own schedule, its own publishing rights.

Arrival, reception and check-in

The essentials, before anyone has to ask.
The screen beside the desk answers what arriving guests ask first. Check-in and check-out times, which desk to join, the Wi-Fi network, today's program, when dinner starts.
One multi-zone layout holds the welcome message, the day's notices and the local forecast. Guests read all of it while they wait.
Best for: Check-in and check-out times, welcome messages, Wi-Fi access, today's program, transfer times

Lobby, concierge and wayfinding points

Keep guests moving across a wide property.
On a large property guests make a decision at every junction, and that is where a screen belongs. Lobby, landing and path-junction displays carry the site map, routes to the pool, spa, beach and villas, and the walking time to each.
Screen tags tie the guidance to the spot the screen hangs in, so the marina display and the main-building display each point the guest onward from where they are actually standing.
Best for: Site maps, directional signage, walking times, shuttle stops, local attractions, opening hours

Pool, beach and outdoor areas

Sun, wind and opening hours on one screen.
Guests plan the afternoon around a handful of facts, and an outdoor screen holds all of them: pool and beach hours, lifeguard times, the forecast, the wind and rain on the way, whether the water sports desk is open.
Weather panels refresh for as long as the resort is online, and if the connection goes, cached images and video carry the rest of the loop.
Best for: Pool and beach hours, forecast and wind, water sports, safety notices, poolside promotions

Restaurants, bars and poolside outlets

Menu boards that change with each daypart.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy-hour boards sit in one playlist and swap on schedule across every outlet that shows them.
Edit prices, dish names and allergen notes once in the CMS and they reach every outlet showing that board. A sold-out dish comes off in a couple of clicks.
Best for: Day-parted menu boards, prices, allergen notes, specials, opening hours, themed evenings

Spa, gym and the activity desk

Sell the treatment while they are planning the day.
Amenity screens carry the day's activity schedule, class and excursion times, treatment menus, gym and spa hours, and the seasonal packages guests only book when something on the wall tells them they exist.
A live review score next to the offer does the convincing. Give the package an end date and it takes itself down when the time comes.
Best for: Activity schedules, excursion times, treatment menus, opening hours, seasonal packages, reviews

Conference, wedding and event spaces

One current directory for every event.
A screen at the entrance to the event floor lists the day's sessions, rooms and start times. A small display by each door says what is in that room now and what follows it.
Group welcomes, wedding running orders and sponsor slides run off the same templates, so a program change is a quick edit rather than a reprint.
Best for: Daily event directory, room and door signs, group welcomes, session times, sponsor slides

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Look and it's been a really big game changer for us, because it has helped us to come across as an older business in a much more fresh way.
Michael Guzman
We went with Look, because it gave us the full control of the content that we were streaming to our locations and it also gave us the scalability, which is even more important. Great experience overall.
Alfredo Mier Y Terán
Value for us means price, quality and the experience of using whatever it is that and the reason that we chose Look is we found that it provided us the best value for money solution out of the other digital signage software that we were using before.

Built-in apps

Apps that keep resort information current on their own

An app goes into a playlist like any other item, then keeps its own forecasts, reviews and live information current. Apps refresh while the resort is online. When the connection wobbles, cached images and video hold the loop together.

Frequently asked questions about resort digital signage

Where do resorts usually put digital signage screens?

The ones that earn their place sit at reception and in the lobby, at path junctions and elevator landings, by the pool and the beach bar, at the entrance to each restaurant, in the spa and gym, at the activity or excursion desk, and on the event floor. Each answers a different question. Arrival information at the desk, directions on the path, a menu at the outlet door, the day's program at the activity desk. Look runs the lot from one account, with content targeted by screen tag.

Can digital signage handle wayfinding across a large resort?

It handles it well. Lobby screens, landing screens and path-junction screens can carry site maps, directional boards and walking times, with tags setting the directions to match each spot. On touch-enabled hardware, button widgets and scenes let guests dig into a map or a venue list, and after an idle timeout the screen returns to its loop. A QR code hands the map to the guest's phone for the walk itself.

Can we run the daily activity program on the screens?

Scheduling does most of the work here. Build the program as content and drop the boards into a weekly schedule; the screens then move through the day on their own – yoga in the morning, the kids' club at eleven, the evening show after dinner. Give a seasonal activity its own end date and it comes off the board when the season closes. Changes publish from a browser, so a cancelled excursion is gone from every screen in minutes.

Can we use Look on screens outdoors, by the pool or on the beach?

It does. Look runs on Android, Google TV, Windows, Linux including Raspberry Pi, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Amazon Signage, Fire OS and macOS, or through the Look HDMI Player on any display with an HDMI input. For a pool deck or beach location, pair the software with a commercial outdoor-rated display offering the brightness, ingress protection and operating-temperature range required for that position.

What happens if the connection drops in an outdoor area?

The images and video cached on the player keep playing, and the player syncs itself once the connection returns. Apps, web content and live streams refresh as soon as they are back online. Where coverage comes and goes – a beach bar, a remote path sign – mix connected content with cached media so the schedule never runs dry.

How do we know a screen on the far side of the resort is still playing?

Look takes up to twelve screenshots a day from each screen and keeps the latest twenty-four, so a beach, lobby or venue display can be checked without walking to it. Eight alert types land by email or in the CMS notification bell, player status changes among them. Playback statistics give plays and total playback time by content, screen and tag over any period you pick.

Can we run restaurant, bar and poolside menu boards from the same system?

That is the usual setup. Build breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy-hour boards as separate content, put them in one weekly schedule, and each outlet switches between them at the times you set. Prices, dish names, dietary and allergen notes are edited once in the CMS and reach every screen carrying that board – the main restaurant, the beach bar and a grab-and-go counter included. When an outlet closes, its entrance screen shows opening hours instead.

Can guests use the screens as touchscreens?

Yes, on touch-enabled hardware. Button widgets and scenes let guests explore a site map, an activity program, a treatment menu or a list of local attractions, and after an idle timeout the screen goes back to its normal loop. These tap-based experiences are for navigation and discovery. Forms, surveys, guest data capture and payments belong in the systems built to handle them.

Can Look connect to our PMS or booking system?

Look supports connected workflows through Zapier, an action trigger, outbound webhooks and Embeddable Code. A PMS, spa scheduler or activity system that pushes or exposes data through one of those can drive screen content, and browser-based dashboards or availability pages embed directly. How the integration is set up depends on what the resort already runs and what it can connect through.

Can we manage several venues or properties from one account, and control who publishes?

Both, yes. Every venue's screens sit in the same account, sorted by tags and groups, so a group campaign reaches all of them in one publish and each property still keeps its own menus, program, hours and time zone. Invite users by email and give access section by section – Screens, Content, Playlists & Schedules, Layouts, Statistics, settings and billing – with SAML 2.0 single sign-on behind it.

Can we push an urgent notice to every screen at once?

In one publish. Send the notice from any browser and aim it at every screen on the property – a pool closure, a storm warning, a canceled boat transfer, a venue change. Look treats urgent information as one more guest-communication channel, and the notice joins the scheduled rotation. For immediate evacuation instructions and emergency alerts, certified life-safety systems stay the primary channel.

Can we show guest information in more than one language?

At the content level, yes. Build the same layout in each language and alternate the versions in a playlist, or give each language its own zone in a multi-zone layout so both show at once. Screens with a predictable audience – a wing hosting one tour group, a wedding floor – can be tagged and given their own language mix, and nothing else on the property changes.

Can we sell advertising or promote local partners on resort screens?

Plenty of resorts do. Excursion operators, local restaurants, transfer companies and sponsor slides can be scheduled to specific screens, areas and dates. For partner reporting there are playback statistics by content, screen and tag over a chosen period, a per-device playback report, and up to twelve screenshots a day from each screen. That adds up to a practical record of what was delivered.

What equipment do we need, and can we reuse the TVs we already have?

Most resorts start with the displays they already own. The free Look App runs on Android, Google TV, Windows, Linux including Raspberry Pi, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Amazon Signage, Fire OS and macOS, and any display with an HDMI input can be driven by the Look HDMI Player instead. On webOS and Tizen the app runs on the display itself, so there is no external player to buy. Bright lobbies, windows and outdoor positions are the places where a commercial-grade display is worth the difference.

How much does digital signage cost for a resort?

Look Digital Signage sells per-screen plans from $6 per screen per month, the rate drops as the screen count grows, and there is a one-time lifetime license for properties that need the CMS on their own servers. Hardware depends on the setup. Plenty of resorts reuse the displays they already have and add only a player; pool decks, beachfront and window positions are where commercial or outdoor-rated screens earn their brightness and weather protection.

What is digital signage for resorts?

Digital signage for resorts means putting guest information, activity schedules, menus, wayfinding, spa and pool details and on-site promotions on connected screens across the property. With Look Digital Signage, staff keep that content in one CMS, schedule it by time of day and area of the resort, and publish from a browser to one screen, one venue or every property in the group.
