An AI signage setup connects five things: a CMS, the screens, the players, an AI model and at least one source of data. The system takes in the data, the model reads the context, content is generated or chosen, the player puts it on the right screen, and the result can be measured and fed back into the next decision.
Four kinds of AI show up in digital signage: generative AI, which makes the text, the images and the video; natural language processing, which lets you ask for it in your own words; machine learning, which finds patterns in past performance and predicts what will work; and computer vision, which reads what a camera sees. Look works in the first two. Nothing on this page requires a camera.
Context aware signage changes by itself when the conditions around the screen change: the hour, the weather, local stock, a local event. Personalization in signage rarely means identifying a person. Most of it runs on location, time of day and inventory data, which is why it works without a camera and without collecting anything about the people in the room.
