Actions
Actions is a tool that allows you to show, hide, or change layers and widgets based on an external trigger.
For example, you can link a text block in editable content to a cell in Google Sheets. When the text in the sheet changes, it will automatically update on your screen. Content can also switch based on a Google Calendar event. A new lead in Mailchimp can trigger a temporary scene change in a screen layout.
These and many other scenarios are available in both editable content and screen layouts, thanks to Actions.

Types of Actions
All Actions are divided into two types: Event and Modifier.
- Event — triggers the display of new content or a new scene. This type works similarly to the Button widget, but instead of being activated by a direct button press on the screen, it is triggered by an external trigger (for example, a Google Calendar update).
Event Actions are available only in screen layouts.
- Modifier — affects an existing layer or widget in editable content or a screen layout. For example, an external request can update the text or image of an image widget. With an Action Modifier, you can also control the visibility of any layer or widget, hiding or showing it as needed.
Actions Interface

- The Actions tab in the right-hand settings panel of the Content Creator or Screen Layouts shows a list of all Actions created within the project.
- Selecting an Action or creating a new one opens its settings.
- Hovering over an Action in the list provides additional options:

- Duplicate or delete
- Preview
- Enable or disable
- Layers and widgets affected by an Action are marked with a green lightning icon in the layers panel.
